With four musicals a summer the spotlight is calling!
Musical Theater has always been an integral part of Camp Encore/Coda’s program with a Lower Camp and Upper Camp production presented on each Family & Friends Day for a total of four productions each summer. Participation in musical theater is open to all campers.
Campers opting to focus on theater will be expected to take private lessons on one or two instruments/voice of their choice, and participate in at least one large instrumental or vocal ensemble, as well as in the Musical Theater production for their age group.
Upper Camp Theater
Finishing grades 7 through 11
- Auditions take place on the first day of Camp
- 1 hour of rehearsal per days
- Open Dress Rehearsal and on Family & Friends Day
- Two Shows performed per summer
- Any upper camper can participate

Mean Girls, She Loves Me, Little Shop of Horrors, The Prom, Mary Poppins, Mamma Mia, Pippin, Honk! Into The Woods, High School Musical, Charlie Brown, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Once On This Island, and many more!
Lower Camp Theater
Finishing grades 3 through 6
- 1 hour of rehearsal per day
- Open Dress Rehearsal and on Family & Friends Day
- 2 shows performed each summer
Upper Camp Theater Electives:
Theater Workshop, Broadway Class, Acting Class, Dance, Set & Props Class, Theater Improvisation
