STANDING OVATION FOR SEASON 74
Campers and Staff at Camp Encore/Coda had a fabulous summer filled with Music, Sports, Games, Friendship, and Fun! Scroll through our highlights to revisit our favorite memories, or to see what camp is all about!
MUSIC
Whether campers are in lessons, rehearsals, performances, classes, or just jamming on the lawn, Music is the heart and soul of our camp!
Rehearsals
Concerts
10 Camper Concerts, 6 Staff Concerts, 6 Large Ensemble Concerts, 2 Jazz/Rock Festivals, and 2 Family & Friends Days… that’s A LOT of performances. We’re so impressed with our campers!
Musical Theater
We also put on 4 fabulous shows this summer! The Lower Campers did Finding Nemo and Willy Wonka, and the Upper Campers did The Prom and Little Shop of Horrors.
Camp Encore/Coda gives campers a musical spark to take home to their school music programs. They are inspired by our music program to continue to make music a huge part of their lives!
SPORTS and ACTIVITIES
When campers are not doing music, they can elect to do sports or arts & crafts!
Waterfront
The best part of our recreational program is our waterfront. Whether for fitness, learning to swim, or just for fun, our beautiful waterfront is the perfect place to be every afternoon!
Capture the Flag
Our biggest all-camp game, Capture the Flag, is played on Fun Days (days where we take a break from our normal music program!)
Our visually artistic campers flourished in our Arts & Crafts program this summer as well!
FUN!
Every night we have an Evening Activity. When we are not being inspired by camper and staff concerts, we have campfires, dances, and all-camp games like Trivia, Name-That-Tune, and of course, Rhino Nite!
Campfires
Rhino Nite
For those who don’t know, this is our most popular night: our Lip-Syncing competition. We give campers lots of time to prepare for these special performances!
Of course, we have fun all over the place at camp! It’s one of the best parts of the Encore/Coda experience.
Carnival Day: Our Final Fun Day
In order to make our last Fun Day special for the full season campers and staff, we had Carnival Day: complete with prizes, games, a bounce castle, and a dunk tank. Even our lunch was carnival-themed!
We can’t forget Dunk the Directors! The campers had a little too much fun with this.
STAFF
We couldn’t run camp without our amazing staff! Our employees bring musical inspiration and a constant supply of positivity and excitement. From counselors, to music faculty, to kitchen staff and nurses, we can’t thank you enough!
Family & Friends Day
Camp wouldn’t be possible without the support of our families and friends. Both our First and Second Session Family & Friends Days were huge successes. The campers and staff had the opportunity to perform EVERYTHING they’d worked on throughout the session, all in one day. The weather was perfect, the campers sounded incredible, and the parents couldn’t believe what we do in just 3 weeks. Even Alumni come and support us on this day!
We Miss You Already!
What an incredible summer! We will hold onto the memories of this summer forever. Stay tuned for more information on early enrollment and job vacancies for next summer, our 75th Season! As always, a HUGE thank you to everyone for keeping the joy of music alive in all of us.
